Statement of Faith

One question we are actively engaging is: Is it necessary to identify a statement of faith that serves as a litmus test for directing theactivities of our spiritual community? We are hesitant to define a substantive theological statement that addresses our fundamental beliefs. However, many will still want an answer. Over the past three years Journey Church Ministries has engaged much dialogue about this very issue. What do we believe? How can that belief system remain open to discernment and the possibility for change?

We have been drawn to the “8 Points of Progressive Christianity” as defined by The Center for Progressive Christianity (www.tcpc.org) as a way to organize this dialogue.
